How to search and find images on the internet

Images can be found just about everywhere on the mighty internet. Below youll find some interesting gateways to larger image collections. Some are for free, some ask for hard bucks.
Some are copyrighted, others are not or even others have a Creative Commons license. If you have located an image somewhere in the digital chaos of the world wide web, always check the conditions of use.
Ask, yahoo and Google are popular search engines for finding images.
The nearest possible image you may find is the one with meta tag alt=”description of image” but not the image with name “description of image.jpg”.
You may try very hard trying to find the appropriate and unique picture for projects or essays on the Internet. You may even feel as though you didn’t try hard enough when you found out that somebody has similar work.
Steps :

1. Attempt to take a necessary picture yourself. Digital cameras are ideal for this, you can easily take the picture and upload it to your computer in less than 5 minutes!
2. Search Google images. It will find you appropriate images, but as this gets used often by many people, you may not have a unique picture indicating that you haven’t tried hard enough.
3. Search Google for image hosts with free pictures on them. See some of the external links for some great websites like flickr.com.
* If you think the photo you find might be a “popular” one, you can modify it by using a photo editor program to change the tint, to crop it, or to print it in black and white.
